American Legion Rider's Song!!
What a great experience Thunder on the Columbia had at Evergreen Elementary (K-8) in Gifford, WA. We joined the students around their Flagpole for the Pledge of Allegiance and continued with Flag etiquette. Then we were surprised with them singing a remake of the Army Song as the Riders Song!!
The Legion Riders Song
The “Army Song” As rewritten and sung by Evergreen Elementary School to the riders of Thunder on the Columbia!
Ride along, sing our song, with Riders of the Free.
Count the brave, count the true, who will ride with me and you.
They are the Riders and proud of their name.
They are the Riders and proudly proclaim.
(Verse)
Those who fought for the right.
To declare the Nation’s might.
Oh, the Riders go rolling along.
Proud to share what they have done.
To remind how victory’s won.
Yes, the Riders go rolling along..
(Refrain)
Then it’s Hi! Hi! Hey!
Cheer these Riders on their way.
Count off the cadence loud and strong. (Two! Three!)
For where e’re they go
We will always know
Why the Riders go rolling along. (Keep’em Rolling)
Keep on remembering!
Why the Riders go rolling along!!
